Authority: NRS 534.150

Duties:

"The Well Driller's Advisory Board is made up of three licensed well drillers, all of which are appointed by the state engineer. Three alternate members are also appointed in case any of the three primary members cannot make a scheduled exam, meeting or hearing. On a quarterly basis, it is the board's responsibility for examining and interviewing potential licensees regarding their experience and knowledge of well drilling. The state engineer may also call upon the services of the Board at well drilling related hearings. Typically, the hearings are held as a result of a complaint levied against a licensed well driller. It is the Board's responsibility to ask questions and gather information so that a recommendation can be made to the state engineer concerning the infraction."

Well drilling regulations, NAC 534, are developed by the state engineer in cooperation with the Board. The Board can be contacted through the Division of Water Resources.
