The State Engineer is performing his statutory responsibility by remaining neutral, considering all the information presented at the hearing, and making a decision based on science, research and applicable laws.

Because the hearing is a quasi-judicial process, we ask that comments to the State Engineer be made during the time allotted for public comments.

When will the State Engineer make a decision about the hearing?

A decision on this matter will be made at some point after the time period for public comment has ended. The State Engineer will take the time necessary to reach what he considers to be the correct decision. He will not speculate on a firm date for releasing his ruling.
