Phased Development of the Socioeconomic Overviews
Due to the number of files, file sizes and computer memory requirements, the Internet development of the Nevada and County Socioeconomic Overview graph sections only is being done on a test basis in three distinct phases:
Phase 1 - Demographic and Water Use graphs:
Phase 2 - Employment, Payrolls and Personal Income graphs;
Phase 3 - Taxable Sales, Agriculture, Mining and Gaming graphs.
Only Phase 1 of the graph development has been completed thus far. The written portion of the overviews and population estimates and population forecast tables have been completed and are available.
Click on individual counties within the Nevada county map below to view that county's socioeconomic overview. Counties may also be selected from the county listing to the right of the map. The Nevada Socioeconomic Overview is accessible either under the map title "Nevada" or from "State of Nevada."

Introduction to Nevada's Socioeconomic Overview Publication Series
The State and County Socioeconomic Overview publications comprise part of the Nevada Division of WaterPlanning's County Data and Information Publication Series and are intended to provide government officials, planners, researchers, policy makers, and the general public with a variety of information on demographic, economic, geographic, hydrologic and water use conditions for Nevada and its seventeen counties. These overviews have been compiled in support of the state's WaterPlanning process. The data, analysis and population forecasts contained within these reports are incorporated by reference into the Nevada State Water Plan. In addition to containing recent population estimates and forecasts developed by the Nevada State Demographer and the Nevada Division of WaterPlanning, these publications also contain a variety of baseline information crucial for analysis and planning needs.
All data used in these publications has been obtained from the original source government agencies which are responsible for the collection and dissemination of their respective data and generally represents the most reliable and most recent information currently available. All source data contained in this publication was derived from electronic databases compiled and maintained by the Nevada Division of WaterPlanning. These databases are available to the general public. These overview publications are subject to periodic updates as new information becomes available. All State and County Socioeconomic Overviews are available in printed form. The Internet version of these publications is being developed for distribution and viewing on a test basis.
