Enhanced Hydrologic Monitoring

Groundwater, surface water, precipitation, evapotranspiration (ET), and micrometeorological data are being collected to support the demonstration basin investigations and to enhance availability of hydrologic data in various regions of Nevada. Data will be made available through real-time data portals, including the USGS National Water Information System (NWIS) and through the Nevada Integrated Climate and Evapotranspiration Network (NICE Net).

Additionally, a series of streamflow discharge measurements as part of a baseflow study is planned for the Upper Humboldt River basin in the Fall of 2024. The purpose of this baseflow study is to investigate the source of baseflow to the upper Humboldt River Basin. Once collected and quality assured, this data will be made available.
