Every well driller in the State must annually apply to the Division of Water Resources for a drilling license before engaging in any well development activities. Licensed drillers must supervise drilling sites for new wells, abandoned well plugging, or existing well rehabilitation, defined as a significant alteration in well design or construction of an existing well.
Resources on this page cover testing, licensing procedures, renewals, continuing education, and the Well Drillers' Advisory Board.
